Core user authentication and authorization

OpenEdge provides authentication and authorization features to broad areas of an OpenEdge application through elements of the Progress 4GL and OpenEdge SQL. These features include mechanisms for:

Creating user IDs in the OpenEdge RDBMS _User table
Authenticating and authorizing a user ID to the OpenEdge RDBMS _User table
Asserting and authorizing access for a user ID validated from a trusted authentication system
